Copernicus Land Monitoring Service – Corine Land Cover 2024 (CLMS-CLC2024)
The aim of the project is to create a CORINE Land Cover (CLC) layer for the reference year 2024. The CLC2024 production includes the creation of a change layer between years 2018 and 2024, a CLC2024 status layer and a revised CLC2018 status layer.
CLC2024 will be the sixth CLC layer in Europe and is planned so that integrated European results will be available in mid-2026. The basic steps of the technical implementation of CLC2024 will remain unchanged compared to the 2018 inventory, but minor adjustments and improvements will be implemented. The final layer will therefore be fully compatible with previous years of mapping.
